Colombia is the number one country with the largest bird species in the world, allowing you to enjoy more than 1966 bird species, of which 88 are endemic and 193 are near endemic. The country is located in the northwest of South America and has a variety of thermal floors that go from 100 - 5,300 m.a.s.l (328-17388 ft) passing through dry tropical forest to páramo, this is the most distinctive plant formation in Colombia. Páramos are unique and vulnerable high mountain ecosystems present in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador, our country has 70% of them, the vegetation of the páramo is a grassland formed by plants called Espeletias, (Frailejones), They are home to unique species in the world: six out of 10 species of plants found in the páramos only inhabit there that fulfill functions of mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
